At the Corner Brook Junior School we have made it our core business to mould a bold and confident generation that has skilled, independent thinkers. This is in line with our vision to be a leadership resource centre for Africa and beyond for generations to come.
The rolling out of the Competency Based Curriculum was the culmination of what TCBJS has always stood for. We aim to maintain the development of the seven competencies in each pupil; ensuring that they are ready for the 21st century challenges. We are determined to nurture a generation that can read and understand the times that we are living in.
Pre-Primary
When children join us in pre-primary, our priority is to ensure they are happy and positive at school and to nurture their natural curiosity about the world around them.
Primary
The Primary School provides a stimulating learning environment and offers structured opportunities for academic, physical and social development, whilst encouraging children to become independent and take responsibility for their own learning.
Extra-Curricular
We offer a range of programmes alongside our curriculum to allow children to establish and nurture their different talents and skills.

The school environment reflects the pupils’ needs and interests and extra-curricular activities are key at The Corner Brook Junior School. All learning areas have been taken a notch higher by borrowing the best from other curricula around the world.
